Cline

1. Get a SupaNexus API key

Sign in to the Developer Console, open your project → API Keys, create a key, and copy the secret immediately (shown once). One project key works across OpenAI-compatible and Anthropic-compatible clients.

2. Install the Cline extension

Install Cline from the VS Code / Cursor marketplace, then open the Cline side panel.

3. Choose OpenAI Compatible provider

Open Cline settings (gear). Set API Provider to OpenAI Compatible (BYOK). Do not use a built-in vendor card if you want traffic on SupaNexus.

4. Fill Base URL, key, and model

Base URL must be the OpenAI-compatible endpoint including /v1. Paste the project API key. Set Model ID to a catalog id. Leave custom headers empty unless your org requires them. Save.

5. Pick a catalog model ID

Use exact IDs from the SupaNexus Models marketplace or GET /v1/models (for example deepseek/deepseek-chat, anthropic/claude-3-5-sonnet). Do not invent vendor-only slugs from other gateways.

6. Smoke-test with a small task

Ask Cline to explain or lightly edit one file before multi-file refactors. Confirm the plan/act flow completes and that usage shows up in the SupaNexus console.

7. Troubleshooting

Connection refused / 404: Base URL missing /v1 or pointing at the Anthropic host by mistake. Model rejected: ID not in GET /v1/models. Provider temperature quirks: try another catalog model; gateway routing often behaves more consistently than a single vendor’s raw endpoint.
